Imagine if Reading stopped for 10 Days to seek God’s face …

Imagine if you, your church, your part of Reading stopped for 10 Days to seek God’s face …

In September 2017, a big top appeared in the Forbury Gardens. Over 10 days, it was filled with followers of Jesus Christ from across Reading and from many different churches coming together to sing songs of worship and to pray for our town.

Every year since then, Christians have come together to worship and pray the prayer first given to us by Jesus, "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven". Yes, God, may that be so for Reading.

10 Days of Prayer takes place in the 10 “Days of Awe” between the biblical feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement in the Jewish calendar. It is a time to stop and rest in the presence of God, to worship, pray and meet together. It is a time to repent and mourn for our sins and the state of our world. It is a time of longing for the return of Jesus Christ.

10 Days of Prayer doesn't happen just in Reading. We join with cities around the world to gather and seek God during these 10 days (for more information see www.10days.net).

Jesus prayed
“And I ask...for them all to be joined together as one, even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one...so that the world will recognise that you sent me." John 17 20-21
